Dental offices

Dentist email list

We estimate about 137,000 dental offices in the US (how many dentists are in the US). The CMS NPPES register (file of 2026-09-14) lists ~218,000 registered dental practice addresses, including stale and duplicate ones, so it is an upper bound. Each row of the list is one office. Where the office publishes an email, the row carries it, with where we found it and when we last verified it. You can order it now, nationwide or by state.

These are register counts, rounded. The list will hold fewer rows, because our checks remove closed and duplicate entries.

By specialty

NPPES records one primary specialty for each dentist. General practice and the generic "Dentist" code cover most of them, and orthodontists are the largest specialist group. The counts below are individual dentists, not offices: one office often holds several specialties.

Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Dentistry~14,000

Orthodontists have their own page: orthodontist email list. For offices in multi-location dental groups, the group_affiliation column names the group where public evidence shows one. The guide what is a DSO? explains how these groups work.

Where the data comes from

The list starts from the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES), the federal register of healthcare providers, file of 2026-09-14. We match each office to its own website and record the emails and phone numbers it publishes there, with the page URL. For each order we check each email with the office's mail server. An office with no published email, or whose email fails the check, stays in the list with its address and phone and no email. We leave out offices we can't confirm as current.

Questions about the dentist list

Can I buy the dentist list now?

Yes. Choose nationwide or up to 10 states in the order panel on this page. It costs $449 nationwide, and state files start from $39. Delivered within 24 hours, usually much sooner. Nationwide files are verified and sent within 48 hours.

How many dental offices in the list have an email?

Fewer than you might expect, because many offices publish no email address. In our test of 500 offices in California, Ohio and New Hampshire (29 September 2026), 21% had an email published on their own website and 11% had one our verifier marked valid. Every row still has the office's address from CMS NPPES, and your file's README gives its own counts.

How many dental offices are in the US?

We estimate about 137,000 dental offices (range ~125,000 to ~154,000). The Bureau of Labor Statistics counts 138,795 private offices of dentists with employees (QCEW, fourth quarter of 2025). The CMS NPPES register lists more addresses (~218,000), because many of its records are out of date. The list will keep only offices we can confirm as current. See how many dentists are in the US.

How many dentists are in the US?

About 200,000 practicing dentists by our estimate (range 186,000 to 219,000). The ADA Health Policy Institute counts 205,088 professionally active dentists as of 2025. The dentist statistics page has the figures by state.

Does the list include individual dentists' names?

No. Each row is a dental office: its name, address, phone, website and the emails the office publishes. Some of those emails are named inboxes at the office's own domain, as the office lists them, but there is no column of people's names. The dentists_at_location column gives the number of dentists at the address without naming them.

Which dentists are in the list: general dentists, specialists or both?

Both. Every row carries a specialty column, and orthodontists also have a page of their own: the orthodontist email list.

Are DSO-owned practices included?

Yes. The group_affiliation column names the group where public evidence shows one and stays blank when we don't know. A blank doesn't mean the office is independent.

Can I send email to dental practices legally?

In the US, CAN-SPAM allows commercial email to businesses if you identify yourself, include a postal address and an opt-out, and honor opt-outs. This is general information, not legal advice. Read is buying an email list legal?
