How it works
You choose a list, pay by card, and receive your files by email. Delivered within 24 hours, usually much sooner. A list's nationwide file is verified and sent within 48 hours. Specialty lists, such as orthodontists, are delivered within 24 hours, nationwide or by state. Card held at checkout, charged on delivery.
Free sample
Leave your email on a list's page or on samples. Our first email asks you to confirm your address, then we send you 25 rows from that list, usually within one business day.
1. Check the list before you pay
Each list page shows the public-register count by state, the columns, the method, and the price of the nationwide file and every state file. You can ask for a free sample of 25 rows; we email it, usually within one business day.
2. Choose your selection
Pick the whole country or up to 10 states. The total updates as you choose, and a selection of states never costs more than the nationwide file. Specialty lists, such as orthodontists, have their own pages.
3. Pay by card
Checkout runs on Stripe. Your card is authorized for the amount shown but not charged yet. We never see or store your card number.
4. We update and verify your list
We update and verify your list when you order, so you receive a fresh list. Before it goes out we:
- update the records from the latest public register files
- check every published email in your selection and record the date of the check
- remove every business and person on our suppression list (people who asked to be deleted or not to be sold)
- check that every email has its source and verification date and that the columns match the data dictionary
5. You get your files by email
We email you a ZIP with your CSV and Excel files, the data dictionary and a README. Large files come as a download link instead of an attachment. We charge your card when the email is sent. Reply to the email if you need the file again.
If something goes wrong
If we can't deliver within 24 hours (48 hours for a list's nationwide file), we cancel the hold and you pay nothing, and we email you to say so. A hold we never charge also expires by itself after 7 days.
What the dates in your file mean
Your file has three kinds of dates, and they mean different things:
| Date | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Source updated | When the official register last changed this record (for dentists, the NPPES "last updated" date) |
| Email last verified | When we last checked that the mailbox accepts mail |
| Exported | When your file was built |
We verify the emails in your file for your order. The last-verified date on each row tells you exactly when that check was made.
After delivery
- Found hard bounces? If more than 5% of the emails we mark valid hard-bounce within 30 days, we refund that share of your order. The 30 days start when we email your file. Send us your bounce report within 45 days of delivery. See refunds.
- Please follow our acceptable use terms. In short: identify yourself, include an opt-out and honor it, and don't resell the file.
