Optometry practices

Optometrist email list

The Bureau of Labor Statistics counts 21,493 private offices of optometrists with employees (QCEW, fourth quarter of 2025, NAICS 621320). That count leaves out optical-store and other retail worksites where optometrists work; BLS puts 13% of optometrist jobs in retail trade. The CMS NPPES register (file of 2026-09-14) lists ~56,000 registered practice addresses of optometrists, including stale and duplicate ones, so it is an upper bound. ~24,000 of those addresses have a record updated or added in the last 5 years. Each row of the list is one practice location, with the email it publishes, the page where we found it and the date we last verified it. You can order it now, nationwide or by state.

Where the data comes from

The list starts from the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES), the federal register of healthcare providers, file of 2026-09-14. We group optometrist registrations by address, match each location to its own website or its group's office page, and record the emails and phone numbers published there, with the page URL. For each order we check each email with the receiving mail server and leave out locations we can't confirm as current.

Questions about the optometrist list

Can I buy the optometrist list now?

Yes. Choose nationwide or up to 10 states in the order panel on this page. It costs $249 nationwide, and state files start from $39. Delivered within 24 hours, usually much sooner. Nationwide files are verified and sent within 48 hours.

How many optometrists are in the US?

Optometrists held about 45,100 jobs in 2025, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a count that includes the self-employed. NPPES holds more individual optometrist registrations, because optometrists keep their numbers after they retire. The optometrist statistics page compares the counts and gives the register figures by state.

Does the list include retail optical chains or only independent practices?

Both can appear. BLS says 61% of optometrist jobs are in offices of optometrists, 14% in offices of physicians and 13% in retail trade. An optometrist working inside an optical store or a big-box retailer will reach the list when the practice there has its own NPI and publishes its own contact. The group_affiliation column will name the chain or group where public evidence shows one. A blank value means we found no affiliation, not that the practice is independent.

Does the list include ophthalmologists?

No. Ophthalmologists are physicians, registered under medical taxonomy codes, so they belong to the physician email list. This list covers doctors of optometry and their practices.

Is this an optometrist directory for finding an eye doctor near me?

No. It will be a business file for companies that sell to optometry practices, such as frame and lens suppliers, equipment makers and practice software vendors. To find an eye doctor near you, use your vision plan's provider search.

Is this a list of individual optometrists?

No. Rows will be practice locations, not people. The optometrists_at_location column will give the number of optometrists registered at the address without naming them. We will collect only emails a practice publishes on its own website, and we never guess addresses from a name pattern.

Can I send email to optometry practices legally?

In the US, CAN-SPAM allows commercial email to businesses if you identify yourself, include a postal address and an opt-out, and honor opt-outs. This is general information, not legal advice. Read is buying an email list legal?
