FMCSA-registered US motor carriers from the census: fields, fleet sizes, operations and prices by state.
Trucking companies in Arkansas
Arkansas carriers are registered to cross state lines. Only 16% declare intrastate-only operation, one of the eight lowest shares in the country, where the US figure is 40%. The FMCSA Company Census File of 2026-10-03 has ~5,800 active FMCSA-registered carriers with an MCS-150 update in the last 24 months at an Arkansas physical address. That ranks Arkansas 37 of 51 (states and DC), with 0.63% of the US register. Per resident the count is low: 186.0 carriers per 100,000, against 267.6 nationally. Some of those carriers are private fleets or inactive registrations, so the figure is the most trucking companies the census can support, not a list of them.

What these numbers don't show
Company size by revenue. The census has power units and drivers, not revenue, so two carriers with similar fleets look alike whatever their sales.
Out-of-state terminals. A carrier based in Arkansas counts here even if most of its trucks are kept elsewhere.
Leased owner-operators. They drive under the USDOT number of the carrier they are leased to.
